Who we are

For several years in Italy we have been hearing more and more about the so-called "brain drain" at the centre of many debates. The issue, however, is not only that currently many young people — and increasingly older people too — decide to live abroad, but also that most of them are forced to do so. Faced with an increasingly competitive world, Italy appears to be paralysed. And we know that any country that fails to invest in the new generations is surely destined to decline. ”Energy Drain” is aimed at Italians living abroad, and its objective is to encourage the debate and stimulate proposals to reform our country. We intend to do so by taking advantage of the experience and knowledge that we ourselves have gained living abroad. Sometimes it seems that we are all hopelessly bound to put up with a political class that too often favors the specific interests rather than the common good. Instead, we choose not to give up and to believe that a different Italy is possible. We therefore appeal to all our fellow citizens who live abroad and do not resign but instead want to give their contribution of ideas and proposals to change our country by participating in this network.
